Plum dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g plum(s), ripe
  • 500 g quark, strained
  • 500 g flour
  • 10 g butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 20 sugar cubes

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Low Fat 30

Wash the plums and pit them, keeping the two halves together. Knead the quark, flour, butter, and salt into a dough and roll it out to about 1 cm thick. Cut the dough into 7×7 cm squares. Place a plum on each one, fill it with a lump of sugar, and knead the dough around. Lower the plum dumplings into boiling water and set the stove to heat to level 1. Stir gently every now and then to prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom. The dumplings are done 5 minutes after they rise to the surface.
