Plums with marzipan filling

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 large plums
  • Marzipan – raw mass
  • possibly schnapps (plum brandy)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Wash the plums, slit them open (do not halve them), and remove the stones. Instead of the stones, add a piece of marzipan and press the plums shut again. Place the plums in a baking dish. If no children are present, you can also add a little plum brandy. Shortly before serving, bake in an oven preheated to 175°C until they begin to release their juices and become soft. Serve immediately as a side dish with ice cream, flan, mascarpone cream, or mousse. I especially like the plums with cinnamon ice cream or cinnamon mousse. An autumnal dessert that’s amazingly easy to make.
