a delicious stew with juicy pork and cabbage
Cut the pork into pieces and fry in olive oil. I use a pressure cooker because the meat tenderizes in it. After frying, add a coffee cup of water and close the lid again. The meat needs to cook in the pressure cooker for about 20 minutes. Then cut the cabbage into strips and add it to the meat. Close the lid and cook for another 10 minutes. By this time the cabbage has softened a bit, add the finely chopped carrots, onions, celery, and parsley. Now fill the pot with water until the cabbage is covered. Simmer the whole thing uncovered for about 1 hour. Add tomato paste or strained tomatoes and the seasonings every now and then. Stir frequently. When the cabbage is tender, the meal is ready.
