Porridge à la Jule

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 20 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 30 g oat flakes, fine
  • 1 tsp flaxseed meal
  • 2 tsp almonds, ground
  • 100 ml water
  • 200 ml oat milk (oat drink) or similar
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup or other sweetener
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon, optional
  • 1 pinch vanilla powder, optional
  • 1 tbsp fruit, nuts, fruit puree, nut puree, cocoa nibs as topping

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

vegetarian, simple, breakfast

Briefly toast the chunky, tender oats, flaxseed meal, and ground almonds in a saucepan. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Then pour the water and oat milk into the pan and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes, until the porridge has thickened. While cooking, season with your choice of spices or seasonings, stir, and then serve in a bowl and top with your choice of topping. The sky’s the limit with this recipe. In the photo, I used mango and apple sauce, banana, and some nut crunchy muesli. If you like it a little sweeter, stir in 1 more tablespoon of sweetener of your choice.
