Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 350 g beef steak(s), thinly sliced
- 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion(s), thinly sliced
- 125 ml dry white wine
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Sprinkle the beef steaks with the garlic slices and hammer them into the meat with a meat tenderizer. Turn over and repeat on the other side. Add 3 tablespoons of butter to a pan and cook the steaks for 2-3 minutes over medium heat, turning once. Remove the steaks and set aside, covered. Add the remaining butter to the pan. Add the onion and cook over low heat until golden brown. Add the onion to the steaks. Add the wine to the pan and, using a spatula, loosen the caramelized layer on the bottom of the pan and stir to combine. Increase the heat to medium and reduce the liquid by half. Add the onion and steak to the sauce, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for one minute. Serve the whole thing with lettuce leaves and tomato in fresh bread rolls or a fresh baguette and enjoy.
