Potato and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • nutmeg
  • 1 onion(s)
  • olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 250 g minced beef
  • Thyme
  • rosemary
  • 100 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 150 ml red wine
  • Parsley
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Butter for the mold and topping

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel and boil the potatoes, then mash with milk and butter. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Finely dice the onion and sauté in olive oil. Chop the garlic and add it. Add the minced meat, increase the heat, and fry until crumbly, stirring constantly. Roast the thyme and rosemary, season with salt and pepper. Add the tomatoes and red wine, and reduce. Season well, chop the parsley, and add it. Butter a baking dish, pour in the minced meat mixture, spread the mashed potatoes over it, smooth it down, and top with knobs of butter. Bake in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes. Serve with salad.
