Potato blob

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g potato(s), waxy
  • 150 g grated low-fat cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simple, vegetarian, low-carb, low-fat, delicious

Peel and grate the potatoes into small strips. Rinse these strips under running water to remove any starch. Season the potato strips to taste; we always season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Then add the grated cheese. (We use young, low-fat Gouda. But any cheese that can be baked with will do.) Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and moisten it with a little oil. Take the mixture in your hand and simply place “blobs” onto the baking sheet (see photo). Then bake the blobs at approximately 200°C (400°F) for 8-15 minutes with fan-assisted oven. Unfortunately, the blobs in the photo are a bit greenish; this is due to the starch, which wasn’t washed out enough. But it tastes just as good.
