Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g potatoes, peeled
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch(s) white pepper, freshly ground
- 1 pinch(s) nutmeg, freshly ground
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, roasted
- 1 tsp caraway seeds, if desired
- Margarine or sunflower oil

Grate the peeled potatoes into a bowl with a coarse grater and mix with salt, pepper, and freshly grated nutmeg. Add the eggs. If desired, you can also season the rösti with a little caraway. Now mix in the sesame seeds. Thicken the liquid from the batter with a little flour. Heat sunflower oil or margarine in a frying pan. Pour about 2-3 spoonfuls of the rösti mixture into a large cup and tip it into the pan. This will give you nice, round, evenly sized rösti. Fry until crispy on both sides.
