Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potato(s), floury or mostly waxy
- salt water
- ½ vegetable onion(s)
- 2 cups sour cream
- 150 g butter
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- Salt
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water for 20 minutes. Then pass them through a food mill (medium-fine attachment). Finely dice the onion and fry in the rapeseed oil until golden brown. Stir in the 2 cups of sour cream. Stir in the chopped potatoes and butter, and season with salt and nutmeg. It’s best to add a cup (or more) of milk per serving, or use sour milk or buttermilk.
