Instructions on how to preserve rosemary and thyme, for example. It also works with all other herbs and garlic.

Do you know that feeling? Your herbs always die on the windowsill? Especially in winter? That’s why I googled it and discovered this method for you. By pureeing the herbs in oil, the aroma infuses itself into the oil, allowing the flavor to develop better in the food. Furthermore, freezing preserves the aroma for a longer time, so you can still have summer-fresh herbs even in winter. Preparation: Roughly chop the thyme and discard the woody ends. Place it in a blender or blender and add the olive oil. Blend the herb-oil mixture with a hand blender until smooth. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze (approx. 5 hours). Then press out the herb cubes and store them in a sealable box in the freezer. Expert tip: I always buy the thyme I use from the Turkish grocery store, as you get significantly more and usually higher quality produce for your money there. You always have to adjust the amount of oil to the amount of herbs.
