For the dough:

  • 300 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Quark
  • 150 g Butter
  • 1 Egg

For the filling:

  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 200 g Quark
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet Ground lemon peel
  • 1 Egg Whites


For the dough:

  • Mix the flour and baking powder and sift into a mixing bowl.
  • Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, quark, butter and egg and knead everything well.
  • Chill the dough for a short time.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut into small squares.

For the filling:

  • Place the egg yolks in a bowl.
  • Add quark, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon zest and stir.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff, add and stir in.
  • Put the filling in the middle of the dough pieces with a spoon.
  • Fold the four corners of the dough pieces over the filling in the middle.
  • Place the dough pieces on the baking sheets.
  • Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
