Protein waffles with oat flakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g oat flakes, fine
  • 30 g protein powder, vanilla
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 50 ml milk or plant-based drink
  • 7 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • n. B. Baking spray for the waffle iron

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For the high-protein waffles, place all ingredients in a blender and mix with a hand blender or stand mixer until smooth. Then bake in a greased waffle iron. It’s best to use cooking spray to prevent too much grease from sticking to the waffle iron. Since the waffles will be a bit drier than with the classic recipes, you can top them with whatever you like, for example, berries, honey, maple syrup, hazelnut spread, cream cheese, and jam. This recipe makes about 4 small round waffles (10 cm diameter) or 2-3 heart-shaped waffles. Per serving without topping: 46.7 g protein, 20.0 g fat, 41.4 g carbohydrates = 545 kcal.
