Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with mandarins, for 6 pieces

Drain the mandarins. Cut the puff pastry into 6 equal pieces. Mix the quark with the vanilla sugar and, optionally, about 1 additional tablespoon of sugar. Whisk the egg yolk. Spread some quark on each piece of puff pastry. Important: the edge must be left slightly free! Place 3-4 mandarin slices on each piece of quark. Brush the edge with egg yolk, fold the pockets shut and press the edges down. Brush the outside with egg yolk as well. Place on a baking tray and bake on the middle rack at 200°C (fan oven) for 20 minutes. Sometimes there will be some quark cream left over. It also tastes good as a dessert.
