Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 3 apples
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tsp, heaped almonds, ground
  • 2 tsp pudding powder
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 roll of (to taste) dough from the refrigerated section
  • 1 egg yolk
  • e.g. raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 22 minutes; Total time approx. 42 minutes

Chop the apples into small pieces and simmer with the water until soft. Then mix the custard powder with a little water and add to the soft apples. Mix with the raisins, ground almonds, and vanilla sugar and set aside. Preheat the oven to 220°C (fan oven) and cut the puff pastry into 6 equal-sized squares. Place the apple filling in half of each square and fold it into a triangle, pressing firmly with a fork. Brush the triangles with egg yolk and place in the oven for about 22 minutes. If you like, you can sprinkle the apple turnovers with powdered sugar after they have cooled. They go very well with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.
