Puff pastry confectionery spinach and feta

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 450 g leaf spinach, frozen
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • some olive oil
  • 1 handful of cherry tomatoes
  • 125 g feta cheese
  • 2 rolls of dough
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some milk
  • some sesame
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg, optional

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Defrost the spinach and squeeze dry liquid. Chop the onion and garlic and sauté in a little oil until translucent. Add the spinach leaves and sauté briefly. Halve or quarter the cherry tomatoes (depending on size) and add them briefly to the pan. Remove from the heat. Dice or crumble the feta cheese and mix in. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg, if desired, and let cool slightly. Halve the puff pastry lengthwise. Cover each sheet with the mixture and roll up. Cut into small pieces. Mix the egg with a little milk. Brush the pastry with this mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper according to the instructions on the puff pastry package (approx. 20 minutes), until the rolls are golden brown.
