Puff Pastry Stick with Nut Filling

The perfect puff pastry stick with nut filling recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 roll Rectangular puff pastry from the cooling shelf
  • 200 g Ground nuts
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 150 g H-Cream
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Powdered sugar
  1. Mix the nuts, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Add the liquid cream and mix everything into a spreadable mass.
  2. Spread out the first rolling pin on a cut-resistant surface. Carefully spread the prepared nut filling on top. Then roll out the second sheet of dough and place it on the coated sheet of dough no. 1.
  3. Now cut the dough in half horizontally with a sharp knife. Then cut vertically into narrow strips. Approx. 1 – 1.5 cm wide.
  4. Now work the strips into sticks. To do this, take a strip of dough carefully with both hands at the ends and twist it into a spiral (the hands move in opposite directions!)
  5. Now place the spirals a little apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees (top / bottom heat) for about 15 minutes. With this amount of ingredients, I have three tray loads.
  6. The cooled puff pastry sticks are dusted with powdered sugar before serving.
