Pulled mushrooms with oyster mushrooms

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g king oyster mushrooms, large
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1 pinch(s) nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 1 large onion(s), red
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • possibly oil
  • possibly salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Shred the mushrooms into strips with a fork. Slice the onions and chop the garlic. Then fry the mushrooms in a hot pan along with the onions and garlic. When the liquid starts to drain from the mushrooms, add the spices and BBQ sauce. Cook until the liquid is completely gone and the mushrooms are crispy. Delicious in a sandwich, for example.
