Pumpkin Seed Fir Trees
The perfect pumpkin seed fir trees recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Ornament:
- 150 g Cane sugar
- 1 tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 100 g Pumpkin seeds acc.
- 200 g Butter
- 1 Egg
- Grated orange peel
- Couverture
- Powdered sugar
- Lemon juice
- Sugar pearls
- Sift the flour, mix with the cane sugar, vanilla sugar and the ground pumpkin seeds. Add the butter, the egg and the grated orange peel and knead everything into a dough.
- Wrap the dough in foil and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Roll out the dough and cut out fir trees, place them on a baking sheet that has been greased or lined with baking paper, and bake for about 10 minutes.
- Then let it cool down. In the meantime, sift the icing sugar and stir with a little lemon juice to form a thick glaze. Melt the couverture.
- Now brush the trunks of the fir trees with couverture. Draw garland decorations or dots from the icing and decorate with sugar pearls.
