Pureed sweetcorn

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 corn cobs, fresh (sweet corn)
  • 2 dl milk, depending on the flask size
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

a delicate and exceptional side dish

Cut the corn kernels off the cob with a knife, right down to the base. Place them in a pan, fill about halfway with milk (do not cover the corn, as this will make the porridge too runny), and season with salt and pepper. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Stir frequently to ensure the corn cooks evenly in the milk. Remove from heat, puree, and you’re done. It’s a wonderful side dish for meat. Since this preparation method is relatively unknown, it’s a great way to surprise guests…
