Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 400 g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150 g sugar for rolling
  • 500 ml fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

makes about 30 balls

Combine all ingredients except the fat and 150g of sugar in a bowl and mix thoroughly with a mixer until a smooth dough forms. Then pour the fat into a saucepan and add the dough to the pan using an ice cream scoop or two tablespoons at a time. While the quark balls are in the pan, pour the sugar into a shallow bowl. Then, remove the lightly browned quark balls with a slotted spoon and immediately roll them in the sugar.
