Quark casserole with pears

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bulb(s)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 400 g quark, 20% fat
  • 80 g margarine
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g almond(s), finely chopped
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Breadcrumbs
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the pears, slice them into wedges, and drizzle with lemon juice. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Combine the egg yolks, quark, milk, butter, sugar, almonds, and salt, then carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Place the pears in a greased baking dish, spread the mixture over the pears, and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
