Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (available frozen)
  • 200 g bacon, streaky or ham
  • 200 g cheese (e.g. Emmental)
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks (can also be made without leeks)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche or sour cream
  • 6 tbsp milk or cream
  • pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry and shape it into a springform pan, leaving a small rim (approx. 2 cm), or roll it out beforehand. Dice the ham or bacon and sauté lightly with the sliced ​​leek. Meanwhile, prepare the mixture: Combine the eggs, crème fraîche, and milk in a bowl and season with the spices. Dice the cheese and place it on top of the pastry in the pan. Then add the sautéed leek and ham and pour the mixture over the mixture. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired (it looks nicer).
