Quiche with beans and bacon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry, frozen
  • 250 g bacon cubes or ham cubes
  • 1 can of beans, green or yellow, approx. 400 g
  • 200 g Gouda or cheese of your choice, cut into strips
  • 1 cup of sour cream, approx. 200 g
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, approx. 150 – 200 g
  • 4 eggs
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

for a 26cm springform pan

For a 26cm springform pan. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out a circle using the edge of the closed springform pan. Place this circle on baking paper in the springform pan and use the remaining pastry to pull a rim up around the bottom. Spread the ham or bacon cubes on the pastry. Add the well-drained beans and top with cheese strips. Mix the crème fraîche and sour cream with the milk and the 4 eggs and season. Spread the topping evenly in the springform pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for about 40 minutes.
