Quick, brown apple cake without butter

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g apple, sliced
  • 250 g flour
  • 300 g brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, or cinnamon for an autumnal variation
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • n. B. Icing sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel and core the apples, then slice them. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Grease a 24cm springform pan and arrange the apple slices in it. Using a hand mixer, combine the flour, brown sugar, eggs, water, vanilla sugar, lemon juice, and baking powder. Pour the batter over the apples and spread evenly. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar.
