Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 m.-large onion(s), white
  • 40 g vegetable fat
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Garlic pepper
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 600 g minced meat, mixed
  • 30 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the onions, halve them, and slice them. Combine the minced meat with the breadcrumbs and egg. Season with pepper, salt, paprika, garlic pepper, and mustard. With wet hands, form round dumplings and flatten them slightly. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the dumplings for about 10 minutes on each side. Then place them on a preheated platter and keep warm. Add the onion slices to the frying oil, season with pepper and salt, brown them, and add them to the steaks.
