Quick tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (spaghetti)
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 handful of basil (alternatively use parsley)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil (cooking oil)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • n. B. herbs, finely chopped
  • n. B. Cheese (e.g. Parmesan), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

for 250 g spaghetti

Prepare the spaghetti in a large pot according to the package instructions and drain. Roughly chop the tomatoes and garlic cloves, and roughly chop the parsley and basil. Combine everything in a tall bowl with the olive oil, puree, and season with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the large pasta pot and sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent. Add the pureed sauce, chopped herbs, and the cooked spaghetti. Arrange on plates and serve with grated cheese. This recipe can be adapted to suit your taste and can, of course, be expanded as desired, for example, with browned sausage or meat, more or less garlic, chili pepper, or toasted pine nuts.
