Spread the love

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • a few stalks of basil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

ww – suitable, low-fat, vegetarian

Chop the tomatoes very finely (I’m not a fan of peeling tomatoes, so I cut them as finely as possible so the skin isn’t noticeable. Of course, you can also peel the tomatoes). Heat the oil and add the tomatoes. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally. When the tomatoes start to break down, add the lemon juice and crushed garlic. Continue cooking until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Finely chop the basil leaves and stir in before serving. If possible, do not overcook. It’s super quick and delicious, not just with pasta. This basic sauce is easy to vary: with cooked or raw ham, tuna, all kinds of vegetables, tofu, etc.
