Quick "wannabe" ramen

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of noodles (instant noodles) e.g. YumYum, Nissin Demae Ramen or MAMA
  • 1 ½ small jar plum wine, peach wine or mirin (shot glass or egg cup full)
  • 1 tbsp miso paste, light
  • 1 ½ tbsp cane sugar
  • 1 egg(s), boiled
  • 2 small cucumbers (snack cucumbers), sliced
  • 1 pinch(s) parsley, frozen, or fresh if available, chives or spring onion
  • Soy sauce
  • pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 17 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Fast, vegetarian

Put the amount of water into a pot according to the package instructions for the noodles, add the miso paste, cane sugar (or regular sugar), plum wine, noodle seasoning (if included), and cucumbers, bring to a boil. When the water starts to simmer, add the noodles and cook for the time indicated on the package. Prepare a suitable bowl and add a few drops of soy sauce, a little pepper, and oil to the bottom of the bowl. Peel the egg, cut it in half, and set it aside. Add the cooked noodles and the cooking liquid to the bowl, drape the egg on top, and garnish with some parsley, chives, or something similar (spring onions). Note: The ingredients such as egg and/or vegetables can be varied. For example, with chicken strips, carrots, peas, scrambled eggs, or other ingredients. Have fun trying it out and enjoy.
