Red Cherry Plum Compote

The perfect red cherry plum compote recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kilogram Red cherry plums, washed, pitted and halved
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 1 little Bottle White Burgundy
  • 4 packet Vanilla sugar
  • Some water
  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add a little water if necessary. The cherry plums give off a lot of liquid. When the cherry plums turn translucent, everything can be poured into sterile twist-off jars. Turn it upside down for 10 minutes and then into the dark cool cellar. Lasts forever.
