Red Herring Salad

The perfect red herring salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Herring salad, red:

  • 2 piece Herring fillets
  • 2 piece Beetroot, boiled balls
  • 1 piece Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Tarragon
  • 1 tsp Parsley
  • 2 tsp Dill
  • 1 tsp Lavender
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 0,1 l Cream
  • 1 tsp Rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp Raspberry vinegar

Preparation:

  1. Cut the herring fillets, beetroot and onions into small pieces and dice. Pour the raspberry vinegar, rapeseed oil and cream in a bowl. Finally, season with herbs such as parsley, dill, pepper and lavender flowers.

Store in a cool place:

  1. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before final consumption.

Use:

  1. As a spread for fish rolls or with jacket potatoes, for breakfast or dinner.
