Red Herring Salad
The perfect red herring salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Herring salad, red:
- 2 piece Herring fillets
- 2 piece Beetroot, boiled balls
- 1 piece Onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Tarragon
- 1 tsp Parsley
- 2 tsp Dill
- 1 tsp Lavender
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 0,1 l Cream
- 1 tsp Rapeseed oil
- 1 tbsp Raspberry vinegar
Preparation:
- Cut the herring fillets, beetroot and onions into small pieces and dice. Pour the raspberry vinegar, rapeseed oil and cream in a bowl. Finally, season with herbs such as parsley, dill, pepper and lavender flowers.
Store in a cool place:
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before final consumption.
Use:
- As a spread for fish rolls or with jacket potatoes, for breakfast or dinner.
