Red vineyard peach chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g peach(s) (red vineyard peach)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 150 ml vinegar (honey vinegar or mild white wine vinegar)
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 5 sprigs of mint
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ lemon(s), organic, peel
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper from the mill

Peel and stone the peach. Then dice it. Finely dice the onion and garlic cloves. Finely chop the mint and zest the lemon. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer gently over low heat—this can take up to 2 hours. Stir well, especially at the end, as the mixture can easily burn. While the chutney is still hot, pour it into twist-off jars and let it cool upright with the lids on. The chutney will keep for 2 years.
