Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of farmhouse bread
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 200 g meat salad
  • 4 gherkins
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Hard-boil the eggs and rinse them in cold water. Thinly slice the tomatoes and gherkins. Peel the onion and slice them into rings. Peel the cooled eggs and slice them as well. Spread the bread with butter and place the ham on top. Spread the meat salad (I always buy it from the butcher, but you can also make it yourself) on the bread and spread it evenly. Then place the gherkins on top. Place the egg slices on top, followed by the tomato slices. Finally, place the onion rings on top of the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
