Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g Lyoner
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 8 small gherkins
  • 1 m.-sized apple, e.g. Pink Lady or similar.
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 150 ml cucumber juice from the jar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Finely slice the Lyoner sausage and onions, and thinly slice the gherkins. Peel and finely dice the apple. Add the oil, pickle juice, water, and seasonings, and mix well. Let the salad marinate. Serve with boiled, skin-on, or fried potatoes. Baguette is also a good alternative.
