Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 jar of pickled gherkins (drained weight: 370 g)
  • 450 ml tomato ketchup
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • ½ liter broth, possibly instant
  • 1 can green beans (drained weight: 455 g)
  • chili
  • Garlic
  • oregano
  • Basil, fresh or frozen
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

ideal for events with many hungry people

First, dice the gherkins into small cubes, then brown the salt and pepper-seasoned minced meat in a large pot with olive oil. Add the hot broth, ketchup, and diced gherkins. You can also use the strained gherkin water if you like. Season generously with the spices mentioned above. Let everything simmer for 20-30 minutes before stirring in the sweet or sour cream and the beans (with the bean water). Adjust seasoning to taste. Tip: If you prepare the soup the day before, the flavor will be even more intense and delicious the next day!
