Rigatoni with Parma ham and cream cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g rigatoni
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 200 g Parma ham
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, red or yellow
  • 300 g cream cheese with herbs and garlic
  • 200 g cream or Cremefine
  • 2 tbsp thyme, finely chopped
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the rigatoni in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, finely dice the onion. Wash and deseed the bell peppers, and also cut them into pieces. Cut the Parma ham into thin strips. Heat the olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Sauté the bell peppers for about 3 minutes over medium heat. Stir in the cream and cream cheese and reduce the heat to low. Add the ham strips and thyme to the sauce and season with salt and pepper. Drain the rigatoni and stir it into the sauce. You can, of course, add fresh garlic and chili for a spicier kick.
