Roast Pork Neck on Bed of Salt

The perfect roast pork neck on bed of salt recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 kg Salt
  • 1,5 kg Pig neck
  1. Spread the 3 kg of salt on a baking sheet lined with baking paper – with a recess / bed for the roast.
  2. Place the pork neck in the hollow. Strip the salt on your fingers on top of the roast.
  3. Put the roast on the bed of salt in the oven at 180 degrees top and bottom heat.
  4. After 3 hours you can lift the roast from the salt bed and serve with sauerkraut and bread or potatoes. It also tastes delicious cold as a topping on bread!
