simple, vegetarian, heaven and earth

Add the boiled or jacket potatoes. Cut the cauliflower into large florets and cook in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Be careful not to overcook it, or it will fall apart during frying. Drain the cauliflower well in a sieve. Crack the egg and add a little salt. Coat the cauliflower florets first in flour, then in beaten egg, and then in breadcrumbs. Fry in a pan with butter or oil until golden brown. Serve on plates with potatoes and applesauce. A quick, easy, inexpensive, vegetarian main course and a classic in our family.
