Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 pointed peppers, yellow
  • Oil, for frying
  • Salt
  • Vinegar to taste

a favorite dinner from my youth, recipe from my grandmother from Bessarabia

Wash and trim whole bell peppers, and pat dry. Heat oil in a deep pan, add the bell peppers, sprinkle with salt, and lightly fry on all sides. Cover and simmer until cooked through. Be careful, it will splatter a lot! Turn frequently. Then arrange in a bowl, add a little of the cooking oil, and season with vinegar to taste. Serve with some plain bread for dipping—succulent!
