Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • some butter
  • 1 pack of frozen chicken breast fillet(s), approx. 4-5 pieces
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 pack of frozen Rösti
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 5 tbsp frozen mixed herbs
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Super quick, super easy, super delicious! A hit with kids!

Lightly grease an ovenproof dish. Halve the fillets and place them side by side in the dish. Season. Layer the rösti wedges side by side on top of the meat, then top with tomato slices. If you like, you can peel the tomatoes beforehand so that no skins remain in the casserole. Mix the sour cream with the herbs and grated cheese and pour over the dish. For a slightly lower calorie diet, you can also replace some of the sour cream with milk; this will naturally make the sauce thinner. Place everything in the oven on the middle rack. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan oven) and bake for about 1 hour. Serve with a fresh salad.
