Rösti – Made from Potatoes and Carrots

The perfect rösti – made from potatoes and carrots recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Potatoes
  • 100 g Carrot
  • 1 piece Charlotte
  • 1 piece Organic egg
  • 20 g Sunflower seeds
  • 50 g Flour
  • Salt pepper
  • Rapeseed oil for frying
  • Creme fraiche herbs as a side dish
  1. Prepare the ingredients. Cut the charlotte into small pieces. Peel the carrots and potatoes, then weigh them. Roughly grate both in a bowl. Now add all the other ingredients, salt and pepper, mix everything.
  2. Heat some rapeseed oil in a pan at medium temperature and then add 1 heaped tablespoon of vegetable mixture to the pan, press flat and shape. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Either use two pans or keep the first ones warm in the oven. Serve with the creme fraiche with herbs.
