Ingredients

  • 4 Medium potatoes
  • 2 Carrots
  • 4 small Onions
  • 50 g Mixed with bacon, sliced
  • Sea salt
  • 1 bunch Chopped parsley until smooth

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots; Cut the potatoes and carrots into large pieces, quarter the onions - if possible so that the wedges still hold together. Cut the bacon slices crosswise into strips.
  • Put everything mixed in a saucepan, place the strips of bacon on top, sprinkle some sea salt over them, add 3 tablespoons of water and cook the potato pot with the lid on for about 18 minutes over a mild heat. Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.
  • This fine side dish with carrots and onions goes very well with cooked meat in horseradish or mustard sauce ... so we like this dish again and again.
