Salsa Mexicana

The perfect salsa mexicana recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Red peppers
  • 4 piece Red chilli pepper
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 3 piece Garlic cloves
  • 2 piece Plum tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon White wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar brown raw sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ground gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Pepper salt
  1. Finely chop the garlic, onion and chili peppers and sauté in olive oil. Finely dice the paprika, add it and sauté.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder, vinegar and sugar and let simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes. Finely dice tomatoes and add them as well. In the meantime, soak the gelatine and let it swell.
  3. Add tomato paste and chopped coriander, stir and season again to taste. Stir in gelatine and let it cool – done – BE CAREFULLY SPICY
