Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 330 g baking mix, for farmhouse bread
  • 150 g bacon, diced
  • 2 shallots or 1 onion
  • 125 ml oil
  • 300 g potatoes
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml cream
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Caraway

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes

with bacon, parsley and a little onion

Prepare the baking mix according to the package instructions and let the dough rise. Peel and dice the potatoes, and cook until soft. Meanwhile, sauté the bacon cubes with the finely diced shallots in the oil. Mash the potatoes, add the sour cream, eggs, cream, bacon and shallot mixture, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds, if desired, and mix well. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and spread the potato mixture evenly over it. Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Serve with a cup of coffee.
