Sardinian macaroni gratin with fish

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 400 g fish fillet(s), e.g. redfish
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 ml vegetable stock or fish stock

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the macaroni in salted water until al dente. Season the fish well and let it simmer in the broth. Remove and dice. Peel and chop the onion, slice the leek into rings, and sauté both in a little oil. Cut the tomatoes into eighths and sauté briefly. Then deglaze with sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the pasta to a baking dish and arrange the fish cubes on top. Sprinkle about a third of the cheese over the pasta. Arrange the vegetables on top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes.
