Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g minced meat
- 500 g sauerkraut
- 1 bell pepper(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 200 ml broth
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- 200 g cheese, grated
- some lasagna sheets
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
- chili powder
- Sugar
- Caraway powder
- Herbs as desired
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan-assisted. Sear the minced meat. Dice the onion and bell pepper and add to the meat. Season with salt and pepper. Then add the sauerkraut and simmer gently. If the cabbage is too sour, season with sugar. Deglaze with the broth and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in half of the crème fraîche and season with the herbs and spices. In a baking dish, alternate layers of cabbage, some cheese, lasagna sheets, etc., and top with the cabbage. Spread the remaining crème fraîche over the cabbage and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
