Ingredients
- 275 g Puff pastry roll from the cooling shelf
- 1 pack Nuremberg sausages
- 1 can Sauerkraut
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Caraway seeds
- Salt pepper
- 4 Cooked potatoes
- 200 ml Milk
- 4 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Cream cheese
Instructions
- Peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Let the sauerkraut simmer in a saucepan for about 15 minutes. Stir in the caraway seeds and season with salt / pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (top / bottom heat). Place the puff pastry in a greased tart pan. Prick the bottom several times with a fork. Brush with mustard.
- For the topping, mix together the milk, eggs and cream cheese and season with salt and pepper. Fry the sausages with a little oil in a pan for a few minutes until crispy.
- Spread the sauerkraut in the pan, then arrange the sausages in a circle. Spread the potato slices in the spaces between them. Finally pour the egg milk over it and bake in the hot oven on the middle rack for about 30 - 35 minutes.
- This fits e.g. Salad.
- Since my husband wanted to eat sausages with sauerkraut, but that was too boring for me, I came up with this quiche ;-))
