Ingredients

  • 275 g Puff pastry roll from the cooling shelf
  • 1 pack Nuremberg sausages
  • 1 can Sauerkraut
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Caraway seeds
  • Salt pepper
  • 4 Cooked potatoes
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese

Instructions

  • Peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Let the sauerkraut simmer in a saucepan for about 15 minutes. Stir in the caraway seeds and season with salt / pepper.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (top / bottom heat). Place the puff pastry in a greased tart pan. Prick the bottom several times with a fork. Brush with mustard.
  • For the topping, mix together the milk, eggs and cream cheese and season with salt and pepper. Fry the sausages with a little oil in a pan for a few minutes until crispy.
  • Spread the sauerkraut in the pan, then arrange the sausages in a circle. Spread the potato slices in the spaces between them. Finally pour the egg milk over it and bake in the hot oven on the middle rack for about 30 - 35 minutes.
  • This fits e.g. Salad.
  • Since my husband wanted to eat sausages with sauerkraut, but that was too boring for me, I came up with this quiche ;-))
