Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 350 g sauerkraut, mild, from the can
- 500 ml sauerkraut juice
- 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
- 4 cl gin
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 24 minutes
Combine the sauerkraut with the sauerkraut juice and puree. Bring to a boil in a saucepan with all the other ingredients, stirring constantly, and simmer for about 4 minutes. The jam should be creamy. Simmer a little longer if necessary. Pour the jam into clean jars and let cool. It goes perfectly with a cheese, ham, and bacon evening with farmhouse bread and beer.
