Sausage goulash

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g meat sausage in a ring (alternatively Vienna sausages)
  • 400 g tomatoes, chopped from the can
  • 3 bell peppers, red and yellow
  • 2 onions
  • 5 m.-large gherkins
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 can of corn
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 3 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

30-minute recipe

Cut the sausage and bell peppers into approximately 2 cm cubes. Halve the cucumbers lengthwise and then cut into small pieces. Dice the onions. Fry the sausage in a pan with a little oil until light brown all over. Then add the onions, garlic, and tomato paste, stir in, and fry lightly. Add the bell peppers, cucumbers, and corn, then the tomatoes and vegetable stock. Season, bring to a boil, and simmer gently with the lid on for about 10 minutes. Fusilli pasta goes well with this dish.
