delicious party snack

First, let the frozen pretzels thaw. Meanwhile, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and crème fraîche. Stir in herbs, salt, pepper, garlic, and fried onions, if desired, and season to taste. Next, carefully re-wrap the pretzels into a long strand of dough. Thin the thicker parts a little so that everything is more or less the same thickness. Now insert a wooden skewer into each sausage, leaving a little bit sticking out. Hold the sausages by the wooden skewer with one hand, and wrap the cheese mixture around the sausages with the other hand. Then wrap a pretzel strand from one side to the other around each sausage and cheese parcel. Place all the pretzel twisters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with the beaten egg. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack at 180°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
