Savoy Cabbage with Onion & Bacon

The perfect savoy cabbage with onion & bacon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Savoy cabbage head
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 disc Bacon
  • 100 ml Water
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 125 ml Soy cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Wash the pearling leaves and remove the hard stems, dice the onion, dice the bacon
  2. Fry the onions in olive oil until they are light brown, add the bacon & fry a little too, add the savoy cabbage and fry for about 5 minutes, add a little salt
  3. Add water and simmer for about 30 minutes, add soy cream, let simmer a little and season with salt & pepper
  4. 4 …. this goes well with mashed potatoes
