Savoy Cabbage with Onion & Bacon
The perfect savoy cabbage with onion & bacon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 piece Savoy cabbage head
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 disc Bacon
- 100 ml Water
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 125 ml Soy cream
- Salt
- Pepper
- Wash the pearling leaves and remove the hard stems, dice the onion, dice the bacon
- Fry the onions in olive oil until they are light brown, add the bacon & fry a little too, add the savoy cabbage and fry for about 5 minutes, add a little salt
- Add water and simmer for about 30 minutes, add soy cream, let simmer a little and season with salt & pepper
- 4 …. this goes well with mashed potatoes
